Music will play a central role in Guardians of the Galaxy of Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal - as in the two Marvel films. It explains how licensed pop and rock pieces are integrated into the game from the 1980s and connecting Huddle as a game mechanics.
Guardians of the Galaxy includes an almost six-hour orchestral score of Richard Jacques (recorded in Abbey Road Studios in London), an all-star mixtape with licensed songs from the 80s (including Iron Maiden, Kiss, New Kids on The Block, Rick Astley and Hot Chocolate) and an original rock album that was created only for the game.
Steve Szcepkowski (Senior Audio Director at Eidos-Montréal): _ Music is essential for the Guardians series, and that should not be different in our gameplay. The soundtrack is in the DNA of the game, and we go far beyond the usual Expectations. If we now raise the fight with the Huddle or bring Star-Lord's favorite band to life, each element has been carefully integrated to spice the story of this rock -'n'-roll gang of outsides even more. _
