CoD Black Ops Cold War: Season 5 bringt Among Us-Modus

Season 4 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold was still in full swing in mid-July after the mid-season update. Now developer has revealed Treyarch, which awaits us in the coming round. With on board in Season 5, of course, new weapons, maps and a fresh battle pass (to overview). But a new game mode is particularly interesting: Double Agent.

In the description of Double Agent, it quickly becomes clear that the game mode is very strongly due to the Success Hit Among US. You will be thrown into a lobby with nine other people and each of you gets a roll assigned. Be the double agent, you must gradually switch off the other players before you can unmask you as a traitor. Just as in the indie hit, the 2020 managed his breakthrough.

This is Among US: Among US is a mix of the party game Wolf and the horror movie The Thing. You are part of a spacecraft crew from four to ten members, under which one or two high stackers (in English "imposters"). These must sabotage the ship and murder the others without being caught.

This makes COD otherwise: In Among US, there are no weapons in the classic sense, but you can murder your opponent as a high-film in close combat. In Double Agent mode, each starts with a pistol and can use other additional weapons, depending on the assigned role, and unlock skills (next to the double agent, there is still the operator and investigator, which work together).

If your opponents move only as a group, so you can not turn them individually, you also have the opportunity to fall and bombs as double agent. In principle, Double Agent is a mixture of the Among US system with elements from COD.

What is actually with COD 2021?

Activision can be tidy time with the announcement of this year's COD offshoot, probably Cold and Warzone did not undermine. Call of Duty 2021 will probably wear the subtitle Vanguard, even if the name Slipstream recently appeared in the PSN with a corresponding logo. But there is probably a placeholder. Vanguard allegedly plays again in World War II and is being developed by Sledgehammer.
